HVAFF Adventure Short Film Competition

HVAFF Film Competition is back! This competition encourages young or first-time film makers to get busy taking film footage. We want to see your adventures, big and small, including cycling, scootering, parkour, climbing, trampolining, or just messing around outdoors. The list is endless, so let your creative side run wild…

All you need is a phone or tablet to shoot and edit your film. Please have fun, be creative and adhere to the following guidelines:

❖ You must be a student at Hope Valley College to enter, have permission from everyone who appears in film, and agree to your film being loaded onto be on a public channel (YouTube). You must use new content – no material or films from previous submissions.

❖ Films should have an outdoor / adventure theme, maybe involving outdoor activities, nature, mountain culture or travel and must be no longer than 3 minutes. They can be made indoors or outdoors, or even using techniques of animation or modelling.

❖ Films will be judged by an independent and expert judge who will assess the creativity of film-making, editing, story line, music and the overall feel, and will award the prize for Best Film

❖ Additionally, all films will be screened on the day at HVAFF where voting slips will enable visitors to vote in the ‘People’s Choice’ award.

❖ Only one film per person can be entered into the competition.

❖ Entries must be submitted to Reception by Friday 18th March by memory stick, or better still upload to this link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/BBH7JF7PxFCgzBs9jqwi Please send an email to [email protected] to let us know that you have submitted a film.

❖ We would like to publish the films on the HVAFF YouTube channel. Please let us know if you DO NOT want your film online.
